Not Quite Maximum Length Yet Even After 2 Uses
I like my new hose and used my own multi-positional nozzle the water flow is very good. I’ve only used it 2 times but even with faucet pressure turned on to serious flow strength my hose still only stretches out to 67feet. I purchased the 75foot length hose and was afraid to purchase the 100 foot size thinking with water in it it may be too heavy for me to drag around, so hopefully this hose will give me close to the extra 8 foot of length after a few more uses. I need some more length to get to all the areas in my yard that need additional hand-watering, and with this hose still coming up short in the length I’m afraid of doing possible damage if I were to pull too forcibly on it right now. Several reviews as well as manufacturers comments mention that it could take a few uses to measure out to the advertised length. I’m hoping that’s the case, or I will be a sad gardener for not purchasing the 100’ size. Normal rubber hoses are just too heavy for me to lug around because of serious back issues. That’s what we have at my house and I hated having to put out this money just to eliminate weight, but if it doesn’t stretch to the advertised length soon I’m going to be seriously unhappy. The main reason I purchased this hose is to eliminate the weight while watering but I purchased the 75ft size not wanting only 67 feet of hose. It appears to be of decent construction but I’m super careful not to drag it near any of my sidewalk which is made from concrete. I also caution not to let it rub the sides of any large boulders around my yards landscaped areas. I’m hoping it will last awhile and not spring leaks or tear with my carefully monitored use. You can’t expect it to outlast a good rubber hose, but it will immediately be sent back if it starts leaking in a really short timeframe. I take exceptional care with all of my gardening tools, no kids in the household to use too roughly, but I do not plan to replace my hose on a yearly basis either. Color is nice, although totally irrelevant to its function. The brass pieces are well constructed and feel sturdy as does the plastic OFF/ON knob located at the end of the hose where you attach your nozzle. So far, so good!

While I'm skeptical about these expandable hoses - since the last one I bought (different brand) only lasted 1 year before it started leaking - I really prefer them over other hoses I have purchased. Hopefully, this one will last longer than a year.
