Carson Carrington Tessuto 2-drawer Night Stand

This is a unique solid mid century night stand for the price. I purchased 2 night stands to use as end tables in my family room. The tobacco finish is like a walnut finish, which I love. Both night stands arrived damage free and required full assembly with easy to follow instructions. The drawers needed some adjusting - my husband purchased new screws with a flatter head for the drawer rails which helped the drawers open and close more smoothly. I was so pleased with the nightstands that I have purchased the matching sofa table and buffet.

I bought this piece to use as an end table next to my couch. The back side is backed with stained particle board so I would recommend that this side faces against a wall. It's a perfect match to the Tessuto tobacco finish 70-inch entertainment center that I purchased a few weeks before. Both are a nice additions to my living room decor.

Overall: This is one of the few mid-century modern nightstands that are affordable and are made of real wood. Highly recommend! Assembly: First, I should mention that the only tools I used were a Phillips screwdriver and a plastic-tip hammer. It might've been easier to use a power drill but it is definitely manageable with a manual screwdriver. The plastic-tip hammer isn't necessarily needed but I found it helpful to get the wooden dowels firmly set in place. An L-shaped wrench is included and used to affix the legs. I would not consider myself a handywoman, to say the least. I found the instructions to be mostly clear except where "insert" cap bolt really means "screw in" cap bolt. That's probably my fault for wanting very specific instructions though--type A here. I also liked that they gave little tips on certain steps. (Note worth adding: you may want to ensure the wheel strips are placed in the correct orientation before trying to put the drawers in...otherwise you might lose your mind when the drawers won't line up.) The whole process took me about 90 minutes by myself. Two people are not necessary. I was very hesitant to buy furniture online that a) I hadn't seen in person and b) that I would have to put together myself. The box was about 50 pounds and very well-packed. If you're on the fence, just do it. You will not regret it!

We bought two of these nightstands to coordinate with the Carson Carrington Mid Century Platform Bed. We absolutely LOVE these nightstands. They are sturdy and very well made offering a lot of storage with two drawers. Highly recommend these nightstands!

This mid century furniture matches our high end bedroom set perfectly! The price was amazing when compared with the quality. I would highly recommend any of the Tessuto pieces.

I don't know what else to say other than this nightstand is a great size !! I love the mid century look and style of this nightstand. Super easy to put together. The drawers are a very good size. Very sturdy piece of furniture! I love the Tessuto tobacco finish line! I just wish they had at least a headboard in a king size , dresser and mirror set as well. I have ZERO complaints about any of the furniture, Now the delivery company itself is a total different story... They are pretty pathetic. {don't misunderstand, it is not the drivers themselves they done a fine job getting stuff here without damage.} I just wish they'd actually put the items on the porch not leave it propped up at the bottom of the steps, with all things considered, such as never know when it is going to rain, or how much or how little its going to rain these days. It would just be better to get the boxes up on the porch out of the weather.

This was by far the most screws I've ever used putting together any furniture ever. It was properly labeled w/pretty good directions but with over 60 screws, cam locks, bolts, etc my time could have been better well spent just purchasing something outright. Whew!! It took a really long time and I'm pretty handy. The finished product looks good but the the drawer sides and bottoms are saturated with some chemical smell. I left the items outside in the garage for over a week and they are still overwhelming. I've now placed baking soda in the drawers to absorb some of the odor but wish I had placed them in baking soda prior to putting this together. While it's nice, I wouldn't recommend purchasing the item but the quality is good.

I absolutely love these night tables. They were easy to assemble and look and feel really high end. Drawers have tons of space and the design of the drawers adds an extra pop.

Bought these to go with the dresser, love them! Good size drawers for socks etc. Perfect height for our bed. Well packaged. A little pungent when you first open them up but dissipates after a few days. Be prepared for lots of parts. Pretty easy to put together. Draws slam a little but easy to add a soft close or some of those little bumper dots.

It looks beautiful and exactly like the picture but I had to take one star awaybecause it took a grown man about 2 1/2 hours to put it together it's so complicated for something so little

This is a very good looking piece of furniture but be prepared, it comes with a lot of pieces and takes about an hour and a half to put together.

I am using as a bed side table, small with a mid century feel, took an 1.5 hours to put together. Quality materials and sturdy. Good value too.

This nightstand is super solid. Nice sized drawers, big enough to actually use! Just pay attention to detail when putting it together. This is a quality piece.

Really sturdy - came in a bunch of parts (was hoping it was assembled, but we bought two to match a vintage headboard and they work great.

Lovel love love this nightstand. I bought two for my guest bedroom and they look great. It takes some time to put it all together but it looks well-made when you're done.

I ordered the last one available on Overstock. I wish I had ordered them before they were gone, as I wanted two of them. Putting it together was a tiny bit overwhelming as I had never put furniture together before. However I did finish doing it on my own. Very heavy ! As everything I have ordered from Overstock, this is of very high quality I didn’t post a picture because I ordered several pieces from this collection and haven’t finished putting the room together yet I plan on posting one when the room is completed

Beautiful finish. It complements our existing mid mod bedroom furniture. Assembly was simple and took about an hour. The drawers are interchangeable – they can be placed in either level. There are no cushions for the drawers when closing, so they do make a bit of noise. Some thin felt bumpers could eliminate that. If you are sensitive to smells, note that the wood and finish will off-gas for a period of time. It took about 4 weeks for the full smell of the wood and finish to completely go away. The smell did not bother me, but it was noticeable for that period of time. Overall, a great purchase and the item seems to be good quality.

Great dresser! solid and sturdy looks double the price

I love the look of these nightstands and the quality is good overall. The color is darker than pictures online but I still like it. But I did have issues with assembly. They do take a long time to put together although the instructions are helpful and easy to follow. However, the premarked holes to attach the runners are in the incorrect spots. The drawers therefore will not fit on the runners correctly. This is extremely frustrating and more work than should have to go into a piece like this. I got the matching dresser and I didn’t have this problem so there is something off with the nightstands. If the manufacturer fixes this problem they are worth the buy but if not I wouldn’t recommend them.
