Short version: Just click add to cart. You won't be disappointed. Long version: I did a lot of research before I pulled the trigger on this purchase. I needed furniture for an outdoor, uncovered deck. I landed on welded aluminum on recommendation from an engineer friend. I looked at dozens of sets from multiple websites. The Christopher Knight line met all my demands and overstock had a great selection and price range. I'm very picky about style and comfort. I was willing to spend a bit more for something that will last more than a couple of years. I expected to spend more than I did for the quality I expected. Thank you to Overstock for their reasonable prices and fantastic sales. The price (on sale for $), the quality of the furniture and the packaging, the color, the finish, the comfort--everything is outstanding. This is very classy looking, doesn't look cheap--and it shouldn't for the price, but you can't trust everyone can you? This looks in person, as good or better than the pictures. The color is dark brown with bronze highlights. It looks almost black when not in the sunlight. I am a 63 years young woman and I put this together myself. Now I wouldn't recommend this--it would be MUCH easier and faster with two people, but I am quite independent and thought I'd give it a try. The table was pretty challenging--the chairs were easy. Instructions are more than adequate. Follow them to the letter and you'll be fine. This took me 4 1/2 hours total over two days to assemble, not including the unpackaging. Follow other reviewers suggestions and use your own tools. I used a socket wrench. It would have taken me double the time and lots of unnecessary frustration using what came with the furniture. About the packaging--fantastic. So well protected--found no scratches, dents, bends.... No missing bolts, washers, etc--in fact there were extra. Now for the really important stuff: Comfort. The seats are a generous size and very sturdy, very comfortable--in fact I am amazed. I don't want to deal with cushions, and as other reviewers have stated, cushions are definitely optional. Table height is just right. I can't wait for my deck to be finished so that I can start to use the furniture every day. I am counting the days to having my morning coffee outside before I go to work. Right now, the set is set up in my garage-patiently waiting. I'll update this review once I've used the furniture for a few weeks. I fully expect to be even more thrilled than I am now.

Easy to assemble, strong, and good weight, this dining set is way more than I expected! The matching table and chair design is positively lovely. I particularly appreciate the creative sensitivity in design of the deep waterfall seat edge and seat back construction, starting with the ergonomically delicious comfortableness of real lumbar support in the chairs. This set is gorgeous! I waited until it came back in stock to make my purchase rather than buy something else that wasn’t my 1st choice. It is made of very heavy metal, the seats are wide, deep and very comfortable for both my husband, who is 6’3" and 195# and myself, at 5’8" and 150#. We live in Houston, and the set is kept next to the pool in an open area in direct sunlight. The metal does get hot, but with the umbrella for shade, the table is comfortable to touch. I’m not going to purchase any cushions for the chairs, as that’s a wasted expense and I feel detracts from the elegance of the scrollwork. We haven’t decided whether to utilize the umbrella hole in the table or keep our umbrella stand separate...I like the unencumbered look without the umbrella in the table center, and I can use a lazy Susan....I highly recommend this set. We are looking forward to many years of family and friends gathered around our table for food and fun.

Nice set, but super wobbly chairs
Let me start by saying this set arrived quickly and looks beautiful on our patio. The table is nice and sturdy and flat enough to keep glasses from wobbling. Overall, it was pretty easy to set up. The only issue with assembly was with the table. There were two sizes of screws, but the instructions did not specify which part used the long ones and which used the short. Unfortunately we guessed wrong, had to dismantle the table and re-assemble. But it wasn't bad. It's a great looking set, but unfortunately 3 of the chairs are VERY wobbly. The legs are so far off, that the leveling feet don't come down far enough to compensate for the difference so they feel a bit cheap and very unstable. Several times the feet have fallen out because the screws are just too short to stay intact and compensate for the uneven feet. I wish I could have given this set a 5 star, but the issues we have had just did not justify it.

Takes Time to Assemble, but Worth It
This set is beautiful, sturdy, and comfortable. It truly takes thirty minutes per chair to assemble on your own, plus an extra one hour for the table. If you have a helper to unpack the boxes and set everything up for the other person while they assemble, time can be cut to 20 minutes per chair and 30 minutes for the table. Either way, truly, this set is worth the effort at this or any cost. It is so beautiful and comfortable, as well as so sturdy we know it will last at least 10 years, if not forever.
