Great Kirchen Island Stools
These stools are exactly what I was looking for; simple assembly, slide well under island overhang, sturdy, and comfortable. My two kids eat at the island whenever they can now! The reason I only gave them 4 stars is because they need to be ordered in sets of two. Ideally, three stools would be a better fit.

The actual seat measures 9-1/8" x 17-3/8" I don't know if you need the thickness or not but it's 1-1/2" at the ends and 1-1/4" in the middle. Hope that is of some use to you.
