Corvus Mid-century Modern Accent Chair

Love these chairs. They are a fantastic buy for the money. Contemporary style without the designer price. They are not made for large people. The inside seating width is only 19", so keep that in mind. The quality is appropriate for the price point. There was some very minor thin wood edges showing around the bolts, but I can touch these up with a little stain on a Q-tip or even a brown Sharpie. They are sturdy. Some buyers complained about the legs not being even. I found that this is an issue with how the legs are screwed on. All the unevenness can be corrected just by adjusting how the legs are screwed in. I purchased six, and was able to adjust all of them to sit level. The issue arises because the metal leg attachment is FLAT, whereas the bottom of the seat is CURVED. So, if you just randomly screw all three bolts into each leg, you will certainly not get them perfectly even and the result will be that the chair will wobble. The fix: Attach all the legs, but do not tighten all the screws down. Only tighten the one screw closest to the center of the chair seat. Leave the two outside screws of each leg only about 2/3 of the way screwed in. Then stand the chair up. Position the legs so the chair is level, then tighten the outside screws. Another tip for any chair with screws in the bottom...to keep the screws from eventually wiggling loose and falling out, wrap each one with about 2-3" of plumbers threading tape before assembling (make sure to wrap while turning the screw to the right, as if tightening it, that way the tape isn't pulled off the screw when you are actually screwing it in).

This chair is well made and durable with a great mid century style. Looks really good in my dining room and is very comfortable. Definitely recommended!

These chairs are fantastic. They look in real life as nice as they do in the pictures. Very high quality construction and nice looking materials. The chairs provide provide a laid back, but elegant look in a space where you want to decorate with modern / mid-century themes. I have two more chairs in my living room from the same manufacturer (slightly different shape) and love them. I find them very durable. One thing to consider is that these are not small chairs and do take up a bit of space. Also important to consider that this is not a light [weight] chair so getting yourself off the chair requires learning how to slowly back up instead of dragging yourself out like a savage. I've seen enough people try to do that and then complaint it's a problem with the chair... shake my head.

These look very expensive and are well made. Very happy with this purchase. We have a mid-century modern style and these are just perfect for our living room!

Had high hopes based on the other reviews - this chair was better than expected. Great mid-century design. Arrived well packaged. Good instructions and easy assembly. A lot of style in a small footprint. Great buy.

Graceful and very modern and super comfortable!. Assembly super easy with included hex wrench. Purchased for the dining room but they now reside in the living room. The walnut finish of the body of the chair is a bit is on the lighter side, but this will likely darken with age. The legs were a shade lighter ,so After assembly I applied a lemon oil polish which made them match perfectly. You cannot beat this price for these stylish chairs!!!!!

Affordable Beautiful chair. Great finishing and easy to Assemble.

This chair is a stunner. It's compact and stylish with a low(ish) profile that really reads modern. It fits great in a tight spot in my guest bedroom - providing some needed seating aside from the bed. It's comfortable but, obviously, not a chair to lounge in. Super easy to assemble. Super. Easy. Only complaint is that the wood has some scratches on the bottom (which aren't noticeable other then during assembly) and one nick on the seat. For the first time, I had the impression this was a chair that Overstock got as a return from somewhere. I'm fine with it because most of my stuff is lived in. If you're OCD, though, you may not be as sanguine.

I only gave three stars because although the design is still a good one, and they are incredibly easy to put together, they're made poorly. One chairs leg was too short and another's seat was clearly assembled in the factory crooked so it looks like it's leaning on one side. I would really like them otherwise.

This is a gorgeous, comfortable chair. My key criteria were matte finished "leather" and minimal legs, and this is the best I found on the site. Two minor things that might bother some: first, this does not look extremely expensive: you can see some imperfections in the finish and with the visible screws on the sides. Also, the legs are lighter than the back/sides of the chair and do not have the same finish. Neither of these was a problem for me, and the chair is super comfortable and easy to put together -- follow the pro tips some other reviewers left and you'll be fine! Overall a great purchase at a fabulous price.

These chairs are absolutely lovely. They are extremely comfortable to sit in and we were very pleased about the feel of the “leather” (that is what we were most concerned about when buying them, but it turned out great! Very easy to set up and have an attractive mid mod style. My only issue would be that people with larger hips may have an issue fitting between the arms. I have no problem at size fifteen but more plus size might have an issue. It sounds kind of sad but we’re definitely going to need armless folding chairs for family events.

Love the look of these chairs in our music room, but one of them required quite a bit of tweaking (and a thick-weave rug underneath) to add some stability. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase!

ordered 5 only 4 came and one did not have a seat cushion. The chair box looked like it had been opened and where the seat fastens were you could see where the screw bolts had been removed.

Fantastic chair. It is very sturdy but small so if you are an oversized person it is probably not for you.

I love the look of these chairs. They are well made and look great in my living room. I'm only giving them 4 stars because one of the chairs had 3 front legs and 1 back leg. Overstock is sending me the back leg and I'm looking forward to receiving it.

I am kinda disappointed with the shipping. Ordered on 9/19, scheduled delivered on 9/25, then postponed to 9/27, 10/1, so on. I am moving to a new apt and need it urgently and that's why I bought it. But now, it's not that necessary. Obviously a very disappointed shopping experience.

These chairs are ok, but I ordered 6 and two of them have legs that are too short. :(

Chair received later than promised; however, it was in excellent condition upon arrival. It was easy to assemble and looks great. I would purchase again.

I really like the looks of these chairs. They have a nice finish on the wood and the seat cushion is remarkable comfortable. The back support is fairly short, but it's not a work chair for sitting long periods of time. Only problem we had is one leg was a good 1/2" to 3/4" shorter than the other three so it wobbles. We requested support for OS to help get this resolved, waiting an answer on that. Otherwise, nice chairs for the price!

Knew these looked stylish but concerned if they’d be comfortable. Turns out they both. One glitch- one of the legs was too short. One call to Overstock’s team and a whole new set arrived in a couple of days. These could work for dining chairs if your table size allowed

I ordered two chairs. They are exactly as in the picture. Assembly was “easy”, but the legs were unbalanced. I tried so many combinations, but I could not get it to sit on all four legs. It took hours and hours. Finally my husband used some washers to even out the legs and then the chairs sat on the four legs properly. I like the style and the chairs, but they came with some scratches and some unfinished spots.

Assembly/Delivery: Delivered very quickly and assembly was simple. No missing parts. Did come with a few subtle scratches on 4 of 8 chairs' wood. Nothing noticeable unless looking for it. No issues with the leather Visual: They look as expected, very happy with the look! Match my "Tiramisu" colored wood table perfectly Usage: Haven't used yet but they seem comfortable enough. The curved bottom is cozy but also a little tight (I'm 5'6" 160 lbs, size 9 women's pants). I fit okay but am worried about larger friends
