This is a relatively small set, which is exactly what I was looking for. Pay close attention to the dimensions before you purchase this item. It was placed in a rather small kitchen and isn't brick solid as far as sturdiness goes. It's used for my 4 year old daughter, my husban at 200 lbs, and myself at 120 lbs. I do not recommend it for tall or heavy individuals as the spaces on the table in between where the seats are meant to be tucked under, is relatively narrow at 17.5 inches (roughly the width of the back of the chair). The quality and finish are excellent...and it was easy to assemble. Lovely set.
This table an chairs are ok if you are 4 feet tall. Its for kids or little people. From the picture it looks like a small dining room table. But buyer beware they told me I should have looked at the measurements and its not their fault. Charged me $50 to return a product that should be In the kids section. Bad on OvertSock.com
Looking for a table for four this one is perfect. Took only two hours by myself to put together. I bought ihe Tribeca Solid Indoor/Outdoor round rug too, 5x5. makes my small space look bigger.
This Dining Room set is as beautiful as it look in the picture. The design where the chairs fit into the table, is unique design. Assembling the set was very easy, I did it without any help. I will recommend this set especially if your dining space is limited.
This a great set -compacted great for small spaces -sturdy ice looking-I use this for a puzzle table in my craft room -also nice it has four chairs that tuck in under the table.
Great space saving dining set. Easy to assemble. Good quality. So pleased with this purchase! Would definitely recommend.
Perfect for our dining room. Chairs push in and a nice round table when not in use .
I got the ones in grey. The item arrived in a timely manner. The table was super easy to put together. The chairs were a little harder to put together ( so many pieces and have to identify left from right pieces) , but worths the time for the result. Note: Before fastening any screws for the chairs, make sure you collect the pieces for the chair together first. There is a front piece, back piece, two side pieces UP (right and left side (up), two side pieces DOWN (right and left side down). However, the side pieces are made to tilt in different directions the right sides up and down towards the center and the left side up and down towards the center. Each side piece has two inserts (makes sense right?) one fits in a hole in the back piece, and the other in a hole on the front piece. Each insert is attached at a different angle to the side piece according to where it should insert. Therefore, you might get it wrong. TIP: Observe Right from Left sides (Right is marked with a little hole) Make sure to keep the surface with multiple faucets on the upper pieces facing inside. Make sure to keep the surface with multiple facet for the down pieces facing DOWNWARDS. The table and the chair look great and are very sturdy. The table is wider than I thought, compared to the sizes of the chair. Not a problem though. The surface of the table is super smooth. **The cushions can be wobbly if the screws are not fastened all the way through. One screw went saggy on me and won't tighten anymore, though. **It also takes some time to center the cushions on the wooden frame, as there are no guides of how to do so except your judgement. **Unfortunately, I notices scratches today on the table top, just a few days of using it. I can't remember what I have put on it. TIP:Lesson learned: MAKE SURE you don't put anything besides plates and your arms on the table.
The table looks amazing very good quality very strong my husband who is 5 ft 10 inch and 250 pound sits on, it's been 2 weeks now the chairs are still holding pretty good. I had a bit difficult time assembling the first chair but after flowing the instruction ( You have to fallow the instruction to the T ) the other 3 chairs were easy, the table in the other hand super easy to put together. the set came in 2 packages my first shipment was wrong they send me brown chairs and gray table but i called the customer service and they fixed the problem right the way and send me new one and gave me $*** credit.
I really want to love this table. I think the design in concept is great. However, the table was slightly challenging to assemble. I had some issues with tightening the table legs sufficiently and therefore I feel it isn't as sturdy as I would like. Also, the chairs are very easy to tip over. Both of my kids have tumbled off the chairs when they shifted their balance the wrong way. This seems to be due to the fact that the base of the chairs form more of a triangle vs. a square to allow them to tuck under the table. Great design and space-saving feature but not great for stability.
To begin with the chairs are less than 18 inches high, which is way too small for the average size adult male or female for that matter. I'm over 6ft tall and that's almost like sitting on the floor.
This table has a place but it's not for family dinners. I suppose it's best used for the kiddie table or for those you don't want to stay hanging around too long. I love it for what it is and how it tucks into itself and stays out of the way. But to sit on it? The seats are small, the chairs are lightweight, and the back . . . there's more to say on the seat backs. The are not designed for comfort, they are designed to fit into the table. Sitting on the chair while hunched over my plate shoveling down my dinner is not bad at all. But when I'm done and need to sit back to loosen my belt, that's when you find the chair's back digging into your back. Yes, the website gives you dimensions but until you actually sit on the chair, you don't get it. It's not really a chair for, um, enhanced bottoms. Like I said, this serves my purpose and I mostly knew what I was getting beforehand. The price wasn't bad and it really looks nice. Assembly wasn't too bad but that was a lot of pieces to work with. It came in 2 boxes, one for the table and the other with the chairs.
Perfect design for my open space kitchen, the round table is way enough for 4 people chairs are encastrable that why they are not high, can use regular chairs for diner :) grey pastel very classy Easy to assemble. Worth the price!
Arrived while I was home so the men brought it into the house for me (way too heavy for me to move). Went together fairly easily and fits the space perfectly. HOWEVER, I don't find the backs of the chairs very comfortable (might be because I am long waisted and it hits me in the wrong place). I am going to put fabric on the seats and make a padded sleeve to go over the back support. The chairs won't slide completely under the table when I do this but will only stick about an inch.
We have a small kitchen and what we like best about this table set is the chairs melt into the table leaving more walking space past the table. We never had such a small table before and we were a little skeptical, but so far we are please with the set. What we expected is exactly what we received. For a small table it has weight and appears strong. If you have a small space we recommend.
This is such a good dining set. It was easy to put together, and I just love how the chairs fit into the table perfectly. I recommend this dining set to anyone!
This is a clever and super compact dining set. I needed a small set for a very small dining area in the kitchen of a small vintage home I was furnishing. This is a really cute set that appears sturdy and well made. I love space saving designs and this one fit the bill. It was a much better option and price than the sets I found locally at furniture stores. I probably looked at eight different stores before finding this set at Overstock.
Overall it’s a nice set. I was looking for a walnut colored round table and everything I saw elsewhere was too large. This is a good size (42”) and the color is really nice. The only thing I don’t love are the chairs. They are definitely smaller than your average seat, and they are easy to tip over due to way they are slim and taper into the front. The frame and legs almost form a triangle. It’s neat how they can be recessed under the table frame, but it really makes them look really small at the same time. I may end up getting larger/taller chairs that have a higher back and are more stable in the future. It’s a great table for small spaces and the quality is decent enough. For this price, you’re not going to get some grand piece that will last forever so keep that in mind. Setting up the table was easy enough - just fastening the legs in. The chairs, however were a real pain. You can’t use a power drill to get the bolts in as they are angled in very small spaces. Took me about 5 mins to set up the table and 90 mins to set up the chairs. I guess if you had a 2nd person to help it would be easier. I’d rate as: Set-up: 2 stars Look: 4 stars Quality: 3 stars Price: 4 stars
This table and chairs are just what I was looking for. Good size for small kitchen space and I love that the chairs go under the table and do not take up space. Very good quality wood looks great. It took awhile to put together though. The chairs hold up to 250 lbs and are comfortable. I would recommend this great dining set.
The table was easy to put together. The design is perfect for apartments. I am pleased with this product. :)
