I got this Bombay chest for the bathroom to store makeup items, hair dryer, etc. Space is limited and this fits perfectly between the wall and my pedestal sink. The Bombay shape also works well with that style of sink. This is a light-weight, easy-to-move, attractive piece of furniture that looks like the image shown. It arrived well packaged and undamaged. No assembly; just take it out of the box and fill it up. Can't store large items because drawers are only 8 inches deep (front to back) and 3 inches high (except bottom drawer which is about 4 inches high). Width of drawers vary due to shape of chest. Top 4 drawers range from about 6.5 inches to 11.5 inches wide. Bottom drawer is about 12.5 inches wide at the top, but narrows toward the bottom of the drawer. Drawers open/close easily and have peg stops that keep them from being pulled all the way out. Good for avoiding spilling the contents. If you want to take a drawer out, open it and feel in the center at the back of the drawer for the little wooden peg. Turn the peg sideways to remove the drawer. When you replace the drawer, turn the peg back to its original position if you want to stop the drawer from coming out.

This little chest is beautiful, functional, well-built, and a conversation piece ........ all rolled into one! I especially appreciate the ease of opening and closing the drawers. It's a very sturdy, all-wood piece; and the fact that the back is also completely finished is an unexpected plus. The carving is absolutely gorgeous - I love this item!!

I purchased two of these because I wanted something unusual to use as nightstands for a bed that sits quite high. The carving is intricate and lovely and the wood is a rich warm color. You can tell it's handmade because one of the drawers doesn't open smoothly and I had to tape a penny under one of the legs for perfect balance. These were minor inconveniences to me considering they are beautifully unique and a great value.

I ordered this as storage for my guest bath. The drawers are a perfect size for toiletries, and the carving and details in the wood make it look very luxurious. The top is just the right size for a small vase and a box of tissues. The odd shape of the drawers makes it impossible for there to be glides, but the wood drawers fit well and move nicely. There is more storage than I expected - over all, a perfect accent piece!

Really pretty dresser. I bought to use as a printer stand in a narrow space and it fits perfectly. I love the curvy profile. The drawers are various widths, but all are of the same depth. I wish a full size piece of paper would fit in at least one of the drawers, but the drawers are not deep enough. Of course, if I had read the dimensions, I would have known this in advance. I still would have purchased the table. The drawers are carved and no one would know how inexpensive this dresser was.

This drawer dresser is perfect for the function I needed it for and looks good too, though it will be better if it is 5 inches higher.

I purchased this cabinet for my bathroom and it fits perfectly in the corner since it is not too big and does not overpower the space intended. The one I received has a little bit darker finish than the one pictured on the website, but that was perfect for me and the rest of the decor in the room. The drawers work well and I like the backstop feature which keeps the drawer from falling out. I had been looking for the perfect accent piece for this room for some time and am thankful I finally went on the Overstock.com website and found this little gem.

Piece is very beautiful, excellent craftsmanship. Had previously bought INTL caravan Windsor two drawer table, this coordinates beautifully! Both pieces have a lot of character and are high quality especially for the price. The size of both pieces is exactly as expected, true to the measurements given in the item description!

I thought it would be a perfect piece to sit next to my leather loveseat. It is just beautiful and will make a nice conversation piece. The hand carved drawers are just exquisite. All five drawers open and are functional. This piece came wrapped so perfect that we had not a blemish or scratch on the wood anywhere. Piece came already assembled. So glad we decided on this piece of furniture over the few others we had picked out. Wonderful piece!

This is an eye-catching piece of furniture. The shape, color, and size make it a perfect addition for almost any room. This is a versatile piece and quite unusual. The price is very reasonable, considering the quality and construction of this beautiful little dresser. One thing to consider . . . Read the dimensions carefully, because it is truly a very narrow piece . . . Part of it's charm and unique look!

I love the look, design, and quality of this dresser. I got it because it was made of wood and the carving was very nice to look at. The drawers are deep enough to put sunglasses, writing tablets, pens, tape etc. All the stuff you want to get out of the way and know where it is when you want it.... The price was ok, but if it were a little cheaper I would have gotten two...... This dresser is very nice and I did not have to do anything except put it in it's place where I wanted it......I am glad I have one.......

Such a lovely dresser with its beautiful shape and lovely carved drawers! The drawers are smallish, perhaps not meant for clothes BUT a wonderful place to store precious things!

I bought two of these to use as nightstands (in a darker shade) over 6yrs ago. They are tall, which is good for today’s much taller beds AND they have a smaller footprint than most. They have been excellent!!! They don’t have storage for larger items (ie: books), but for those items you want in your nightstand (paperback books), it’s perfect and keeps items out of sight. Keep in mind that the narrower top doesn’t have a lot of room, so after a clock, box of tissues and glass of water – that pretty much takes up the whole space.

Looks just like the picture. Color a slight bit darker, but not bad. Bought it for lingerie, but drawers are sort of small, so it doesn't hold a lot. Was shipped well protected and arrived damage free. Also arrived very quickly which was an unexpected bonus. Gave a four on workmanship only because being hand made I was expecting the interior drawer pieces to be more dense or heavier wood. Five for ease of assembly because there was no assembly needed.

I've had my eye on this beautiful little item for years. The color is rich, the carving enhances its exotic look without being fussy, and it has personality! (I like furniture with personality.) I finally dumped a less than perfect piece and now it sits near my bedroom window with a wrought-iron jewelry fixture on top. My only regret is that it is indeed *small,* but I can hardly blame Overstock if I don't pay attention to measurements. I put towels in the bottom drawers, but for a jewelry collector, which I am, it would make perfect storage.

This is a really good purchase. I ordered one and liked it so much that I ordered another one. I use them beside my large chest of drawers. Matches well. I would recommend this furniture. It's a good purchase; however, keep in mind it is only 31" high. you may be expecting something larger. Be sure to check the measurements. I put my scraves and other accessories in the drawers.

Very nicely constructed dresser. To be used for jewelry. Just needs to be lined. Not compartmentalized but could easily be made if desired. A unique and nice looking solution to jewelry storage. I do not like all the laquered, fake brass, etc. that so many other manufacturers put out there. I'd recommend.

I'm as thrilled as can be with this piece. The space I needed to fill was a bit awkward, and this piece of furniture fit the bill perfectly. It's definitely bumped up the overall visual appeal by several notches, and the wood itself is both beautifully carved, artfully crafted and possessing a lovely "feel." I anticipate years and years of pleasure.

This is a great little furniture piece with plenty of storage for small items. A "What Not" catchall! Bought this to use as a night stand in our spare bedroom. Fits the room just as I had imagined. Made of real wood, none of that prefab junk. This is a quality piece that we will treasure for a long while. Would recommend to anyone looking for something different and for small storage options.
