Finally! A great system for organizing my closet! I have tried everything short of calling one of these companies that charges thousands of dollars to design a closet system. Note that the difference between the regular and deluxe is that one is 12 inches deep and the other is 16 inches deep. I emptied my closet and called on a handyman to install this stuff, because I didn't want to screw it up. He said it was easy to work with, and he will recommend it to clients. I have a 12" on the right, and a 16" on the left, and LOVE it to pieces.

As a contractor, I have been encouraging my clients to go with John Louis. In the final stages of a new home or addition, spending $$$$-$$$$$$ on closet system is daunting. John Louis provides a great, quality option in solid wood and at a fair and affordable price. The kits are interchangeable and my guys can create any configuration for the client. Best to go with the metal rods for easy sliding of hangers - especially in master. Shelves with baskets prove better than the drawers. Only two issues I have noticed are: lack of color options (white would be nice) and the drawer kits are not as high of quality as the shelves, as they aren't solid wood. I highly recommend this product and continue to tell clients about it.

16 inch John Louis Closet System
We bought the 16 inch deep system in natural maple color for our remodeled master bedroom, it looked great after installation, although it's about 1/3 more than the 12-inch one, it's worth the money for the extra depth, we also used the remaining hanging bar for our guest room, overall a nice product.

I am very happy with the product. We bought two delux closet systems for both sides of our walk-in closet. My husband and I are not professional carpenters, but we were able to install the closets ourselves. We found the instructional videos on youtube which were great - they were very detailed and easy to follow. If you follow them to the T, you will have no problem with the installation. I think we would have been completely lost and frustrated if we only had the printed instructions included in the package. The first closet took the two of us three evenings, a couple of hours each. The second one took us only four hours (and I am 7 months pregnant!). Also, I need to point out that customer service is great. I accidentally ordered the two closets in different colors (one maple and one mahogony). I used the web chat option to talk to a representative and he made the arrangements for me to return the wrong color. They did deduct the cost of shipping but I got it back as a store credit, so in the end I didn't lose anything because I applied this credit towards the purchase of the second closet - this time in the right color.

Great look and functionality
I am really pleased with what I got. My contractor made some modifications and it worked well in my closet.Additionally, I wanted cedar along the walls and my contractor did that as well.

No, the tower does not have to be in the middle. There are multiple configurations and it is very customization. Majority of people will place tower will be in the middle, simply so it can be connected to shelf lengths on either side and span an entire wall.

The closet pieces are sturdy and beautiful. I did not put it together myself, I hired a contractor and it took him all day for a three sided 5 x 8 closet. It operates well and looks as good as those twice as pricey. I bought this for my nephew so I don't have the answer to the bar lengths or rods. He loves it!

There are two shelves and wardrobe bars (48”) and one shelf and wardrobe bar (72”) that can be easily cut to a table or chop saw, as well as a hand saw with fine teeth. The only part that cannot be adjusted by cutting is the Accessory Tower, which measures 26.25” on the exterior.
