LUCID Comfort Collection 14-inch Plush Gel Memory Foam Mattress

This review is specifically for those of you looking for reli0ef from chronic pain. I have suffered with fibromyalgia since my mid 20's, I am in my 40's now. On top of that, I have arthritis in my joints and a torn rotator cuff. My old bed was so uncomfortable that many mornings I woke up crying from having to fight with my mattress all night for sleep, or just called it quits and slept on the floor or my sectional. If you have these disorders, you know how difficult it can be to fall asleep in the right position, stay asleep, and feel rested in the morning. Queue me doing extensive research on mattresses for a few weeks: I went into the stores to test the name brands, read articles on the necessary amount of gel foam needed for arthritis relief, etc. This is the one! I have slept on this mattress for 5 nights. The first 2-3 nights, your body will need to adjust to being back in proper alignment, so though you may feel weightless, your muscles when you first lie down will not quite know how to relax fully. Once they do, and you feel the supportive contouring of this bed, you will fall asleep no problem. This has 3-4 inches of gel memory foam, meaning, those pesky pressure points that cause you to toss and turn at night and wake up feeling like you've gotten the bad end of a violent fist fight, will be relieved totally. You body will sink 1-2 inches into the contour and then feel very supported. Your weight will be evenly spaced out on the foam which means no hip or back pain. I am 219 pound, 5 foot 7 inch woman with large boobs who sleeps on her side and I can even put weight on the shoulder with a torn rotator cuff and not avoid that side because of the give and support of this bed. Tis bed is comparable to the beauty rest blue 500 plus but feels more luxurious on the top layer. If you suffer from chronic pain in your joints or have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and cannot take the torture of a traditional coil mattress, please try this bed with my whole hearted recommendation. I wasn't paid, I didn't get the bed for free, I am not any kind of marketing person, I am a regular lady who searched high and low for something that would improve my conditions and give me back y quality of life. We just got our LUCID 14 inch plush mattress and I love it. Much better than another name brand foam mattress we once had. It was too soft and caused back and neck problems. This LUCID mattress with the charcoal/bamboo and gel infused layers is the perfect combination of softness with support, and it really does help moderate the temperature. Sleeping very well. It is much lighter and easier to handle than the pillow top/spring mattress we replaced.

This mattress is a little slice of heaven!! We ordered the queen size and it arrived in a very manageable sized box that two people could handle very easily. Taking it out of the box was a cinch and it laid/filled out nicely! I have never owned a memory foam mattress this thick before so I was very excited to try it out! The instructions say to let it sit for 48 hours to fully set up, even though it took form within minutes. My first thoughts/impressions were that it looked like a super good quality mattress. As I looked it over, I could tell that it was well constructed... nothing cheap about it whatsoever! Once I was able to actually try it out (sleep on it), the experience was unreal!! The memory foam was very responsive and I could not feel pressure points as I moved into various sleeping positions. I absolutely love the comfort of this mattress!! Another aspect I really like about this mattress is the ventilation benefits it provides! I was a bit worried that I would get to hot with such a thick mattress and I had heard memory foam in general, tends to not breathe very well. Living at 5000 feet above sea level, we do not have air conditioning and it has been unusually hot lately. We open the windows at night, but can still have difficulty sleeping because it is still too warm. For this reason...I was anxious to try this mattress out to see if it would pass the heat factor test? I was sweetly surprised!! It faired way better than our previous pillow top mattress in this department! I would totally recommend this memory foam mattress because it is super comfortable, well ventilated and looks great!! If fact... I can't wait for bedtime to come... ha ha!! If you want a good night's sleep.. consider this mattress for sure!!

First night of sleeping on it was wonderful, it's just the right amount of firmness, and softness!! I noticed Instantly that the mattress formed to my body making it super comfortable. I also loved the fact that I didn't feel my husband moving around in bed. I think this is because of how thick the memory foam is, and it contouring so well to my body. The top layer of the bed is bamboo memory foam which helps to keep the mattress cool. This bed has made sleeping so much more enjoyable, definitely surpassed my expectations. I would highly recommend this bed to anyone, I love it! I received this bed for free, for my honest and own opinions of it.

Pardon the long review, but mattresses are a big purchase! Hopefully some of these points help you make a decision. I did a fair bit of research about mattresses (probably like you) and different sources say memory foam is a great option (e.g., best choice for preventing and alleviating back pain) while others mention several pit falls (i.e., poor temperature regulation, lack of support, and reduced mobility once you sink in). My review responds to those pro and con points: - I can't speak to the long term effect on posture or back pain or how it helps immediate back pain since I don't experience that, but I do have some related insights. Like other reviewers indicated, it took me some time to adjust, coming from a different style of mattress. For the first month or two I woke up sore every so often but it didn't last into the day. This happened with the last bed we got too, so I doubt this has anything to do with the product as much as it does with my body adjusting. Stick it out if this happens to you because, now this doesn't happen at all and I sleep very well! As a side note, I find it comfortable to sleep with a pillow between my knees if on my side or under my knees if on my back. I read this somewhere and I guess it supports your lower back/spine more. The common memory foam pit falls have not been an issue: -Heat retention has not been a problem at all, probably due to the second layer of gel-infused foam. -Support has not been an issue either, probably due to that bottom layer of firm foam. Although the top layers are plush, as advertised, I have experienced the mattress overall to be more firm than plush. -Sinking in has not been an issue either. While it was clear that the memory foam cradles you more than a typical mattress, I did not feel stuck. It seemed like this was even less of an issue once we got our mattress protector on there (which you should put on every mattress!) and sheets. -I don't remember what is so special about the bamboo charcoal infused foam - maybe it helps with the temperature control(??) - but it sure sounds cool! Probably just fancy marketing, but the product seems well designed anyway. Side note: This may be obvious, but I highly recommend opening the mattress in the room where it will be used. This mattress is kind of heavy and difficult to move around - but that is forgivable since that has nothing to do with its intended purpose. Overall this has been a great mattress! Give your body time to adjust if coming from another kind of mattress and you will be very happy with this mattress. They designed it well to compensate for some of the common problems with memory foam and we have been sleeping very comfortably. Note: we got the King version of this mattress - it was given to us as an opportunity to review the product.

The king size mattress was pretty heavy and took two of us to move around. After opening the box and removing the wrapping we were surprised how quickly the mattress expanded to its full size. Following the included instructions we allowed it 48 hours to expand before placing it on the box springs. You will notice in the video that it expands rather quickly once you open the packaging. We replaced a 10 year old plush top mattress. We noticed big differences in firmness and stability of the mattress when a partner moves. Because we allowed it 48 hours to expand there was no noticeable odor. The mattress is very comfortable and provided a good night sleep from the very first night. We particularly notice that there are fewer pressure points as your bodyweight is spread across the foam mattress and more evenly than on the older mattress. A bonus is that it helps with the bodies thermoregulation in not getting too hot and hopefully as the season changes we won’t get too cold. We will find out soon enough as fall is just around the corner

I bought this for my Granddaughter who loves my regular memory foam mattress. She absolutely loves her mattress more than mine. The top gel foam makes a difference. When I need to replace my mattress I will buy a Lucid mattress. Not only is the quality exceptional but the price at Overstock is fantastic!! If you want plush soft comfort this is it at a wonderful price.

The mattress comes rolled up in a box. Upon opening it, you must lie it on a flat surface and allow it to fully inflate. This takes 24-48 hours. The mattress is extremely comfortable. I have the 14 inch plush model. I thought plush would be soft. It is not. To the contrary, it is rather firm, which is how I like my mattresses. The mattress offers an excellent night's sleep. I was worried about buying a foam mattress. I have no regrets. I truly recommend this mattress. Just remember, plush is synonymous for firm.

My husband and I upgraded our Queen bed to a King so we needed a new mattress. Having loved the mattress we had, I had to do a ton of research before getting this. A mattress is sort of a big commitment purchase. We were torn between Plush and Medium Plush and read all of the reviews since everyone likes the bed differently. We ordered this in the 14 inch, Plush after analyzing reviews and it was the best choice!!! It sinks and accommodates with your body curves but its not too plush. Just perfect for us. We find it very comfortable and for the price, even better. Note: the 14 inch mattress is beyond heavy so air it out right on the bed. There is a smell but it dissipates within a few days like they say. It also states to let it air out for 48 hours which is a lifetime. We did about 36 hours and it was fine. Very satisfied so far.

This mattress is pretty amazing. I was worried it would be too soft and not provide enough support for my back, but thankfully that hasn't been the case at all! It is surprisingly firm and supportive AND super soft and plush. I was waking up feeling sore and stiff on my last mattress, but haven't felt that way at all after sleeping on this mattress. I have been able to sleep totally comfortable on my back, side, and stomach, which is nice because on my old mattress I could only can get comfortable on my stomach (which was causing a lot of the neck/back soreness). It arrived in a big 100 lb box. After opening the box and cutting the plastic off, the mattress only took a few hours to completely expand. I left it to ventilate for 24 hours and it smells totally fine. I'm really, really happy with this mattress!! Great price for such luxury!

I ordered this bed based off the reviews. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and degenerative disk in my neck. I have only had but 6 nights but It sleeps so well. I used to have to get up because my other 1600.00 Mattress was hurting my back and now I don't want to get up. I do not get hot sleeping and my wife absolutely loves it. Great choice. I love it.

I love this mattress! I am a tummy sleeper and my husband sleeps on his back and it is perfect for both of us! I love that it comes in a box but know it is heavy so you need two people to move it around. I also love the cover that comes on it! It has a zipper so I can easily wash the cover and it fits snug and doesn't move! I have the queen size for me and my husband and a twin sized LUCID bed for my 3 year old and I have loved this brand of products!

My husband and I love a good night’s sleep and we have found it with this mattress!! It was his decision to try this mattress out, but I have to admit I was excited as well! I was not disappointed whatsoever. I especially like that we don’t feel each other when we move. It is soo quiet! The comfort is superb and compared to our previous pillow top mattress, it surpasses it in so many areas! My husband usually tosses and turns a lot when he gets hot, but he doesn’t seem to be moving as much now which is a big win for me as well. I am amazed at how cool the bed is after sleeping in the same position for long periods of time. Bottom line… this mattress is the best! So comfortable and I am so glad my husband decided to try it out! I would recommend this mattress to anyone and everyone!!!

I wanted to sleep on my new mattress for a month or so to get a real idea how I feel! Well, I could have written the review the first night! It is a wonderful mattress! It is comfortable, was super easy to set up, and had no odor or other oddities to mention. I a very happy with my purchase!

Arrived quickly and was very easy to set up. Very firm (not plush as indicated). Hoping it softens overtime. The advantage of the memory foam is that we do not feel the dog jump on the bed or moving around at night.

Hummm a bed in a box. Worked great for the 1st couple of months. Then seemed to get a great big slouch where I sleep. Defiantly not good for people that are over 150 pounds. Will never buy a bed in a box again.

not plush at all, i was turning it jumping on it, it still hard as rock , used it for more than a year still and it didnt get any softer, would not recomend to anyone
