Mercer Court Tobacco Cocktail Table

This is sold wood! Heavy indeed. The colour is as described, a rich tobacco. Initially I was a little disappointed because the wood wasn’t a natural looking distressed, it seemed more fabricated, hence the four stars. But it’s grown on me and I now love it. There are imperfections, knots, and cracks in the wood that make for the refurbished/distressed look. Packaging was very good and wood had no smell. I’d recommend two people assemble because of the weight, but it can be done by one. I did it myself following the instructions and took me about an hour. I will say that although the instructions are fairly clear, I did come to realise that you have to install 3 legs first, then the bottom shelf, then the 4th leg. If not, there’s NO way to get the 2nd shelf in. It does come with 4 casters but I didn’t install them for 2 reasons: 1. I’m using mine as a coffee table so it won’t be moving and 2, the casters raise the table about 1/2” off the floor and I didn’t like the look of the legs not touching the ground. I would definitely recommend this table for a casual, rustic look.

Very nice and heavy solid wood table. The hardware pack broke open during shipping and some parts were lost. But they are shipping me the parts to replace them. This is no cheap press board with a veneer on top, this is real and solid wood. This thing weighs a ton. I found color to be a true match to the picture, and matched our dining room table perfectly , which is one of the reasons we chose this table.

This coffee cocktail table looks really beautiful in our living room area in our new home. The side tables look really good and tie together the whole rustic look that we have in our home.

I LOVE this coffee table. It is a substantial, solid piece of furniture and absolutely beautiful. Real wood, not made-to-look-like wood (so it weighs a ton - be prepared to need 2 adults to bring in the package and move it once assembled). It's large enough that we can play a family board game on it, and the wood is treated so we don't have to worry that any feet, drinks, snacks or kitty claws will mar the finish. It certainly cost more than I was looking to spend, but it was worth every penny and I would buy it again tomorrow.

Heavy and solid. I'm not sure how much of this table is solid wood as opposed to veneer or artificial materials, or maybe it is just very thickly coated - it definitely has a different feel than wood. I wouldn't even worry about putting a cup without a coaster, pretty sure nothing is penetrating the surface.

I ordered this Cocktail table and the color finish shown on website is totally wrong. when i recieved this table; its looks way darker then the pic on website. i am about to return this product. this is my first order and i am not happy with Overstock website. product was misrepresentation and they should pay the cost to fix or give full refund.

This table is mostly perfect. I feel it's important for buyers to know that the wood is finished in a way that to my husband and I, it looks a bit fake. It's not a deal breaker and you don't notice it until you are right on top of it - and especially when you can add books, bowls, baskets, etc.... but the finish is really artificial looking. However, it will withstand the beating that we will all give it so I am happy. Also - one of the legs was drilled improperly. I called Overstock and they were very helpful and immediately sent out 4 new legs (of which we only needed one). Anyway - great customer service.

Love, Love, Love...only problem is it was delivered with a chunk out of the top. Overstock has been amazing so far...first they tried to get replacement top; they were unable to do that so they called back and gave me three options; partial refund & keep table as is; return for full refund (which was not an option for me since I absolutely love the table); or let them ship me a new table - replace the top when received and they will provide UPS pick up of the damaged one. Of course I choose that option and I'm currently waiting to receive the replacement. Highly recommend this furniture...solid, sturdy and beautiful!

This coffee table is very sturdy. I was surprised by the quality. We purchases this along with the two end tables. Goes very well with the Milton Mid Century Modern 3-piece Fabric Chat Set by Christopher Knight Home

Great table. Study. Doesn't look cheap. Darker than what it appears. Also, the picture makes the table look like a square (to me), check the specs, it definitely a rectangle.

This coffee table is exactly what I was looking for. Kind of a pain to put together with a ton of screws but I love the rustic look once it was complete. It is definitely darker than the picture shows too which I was happy about.

We have bought 2 tables from this same line and we love them! They are sturdy and high quality solids wood. They are versatile and match our home decor beautifully. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase!

PROS: Table has a great weight and my kids jump on it and play around it and it has proven to be extremely durable. CONS: The wheels on the table are inferior quality. One of them broke soon after installing them but I've removed the wheels and have the table directly on the floor.
