This bookcase is great!
This bookcase was everything I hoped it would be. The shelves are rustic wood but the other materials gives it a modern look, it looks amazing in our living room. It was very easy to assemble and is quite sturdy.

Beautiful, industrial piece of furniture! Love it
I had read a few of the reviews that mentioned this isn't made with real wood and I was a bit concerned, but when it arrived yesterday I was so very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the bookcase! This weighs almost 70 pounds and it's solid as a rock! The shelves are a dark wood and they are beautiful...they look hand-scraped. It took me only about 1/2 hour to put this together by myself (I only asked my husband to help me turn it over when putting the second side of the shelves together as it is heavy)! (One tip for assembly - the bookcase comes with an Allen wrench tool, but if you have an Allen bit for a cordless screwdriver, I would use that) - (That's what I used and I zipped through assembling the bookcase)! Otherwise you have to hand tighten every bolt, and there are 25 of them. I saved myself a lot of time using the cordless screwdriver. (Just be sure you don't over tighten them as you'll strip the bolt)...I LOVE this piece and am so very happy I purchased it. (Also, be sure to use the tipping prevention hardware which is included) - this bookcase is tall and will prevent tipping. It's easy to install and worth the effort to prevent any accidents. LOVE THIS ITEM!

The construction of this unit surprised me. Shelves are 3/4 inch dark finish wood with a very nice texture and the frame is black paint rectangular steel. Assembly is an easy one person job for anyone with basic repair knowledge and the unit is very sturdy. If you have small children make sure to attach to the wall (hardware provided) as this unit could easily fall over if a child was to climb it. Very pleased with the purchase and bought it to match the Nelson Industrial Modern Rustic desk which matched perfect.

Cool piece of furniture
I bought this to go next to the TV stand to hold components. It looks great in our lodge style family room. Very easy to put together. The box arrived smashed and had some open spots but none of the pieces were damaged. However some of the screws were missing and I had to find similar screws to complete assembling it. Even with the screw substitution, I was able to put it together, without my husbands help, in less than 30 minutes. Love the unique industrial look. the wood shelves resemble handsewn lumbar, dark oak or walnut..The metal is a black cast iron looking metal. It is slightly wobbly but comes with wall securing hardware if you have small children or live on a fault line.. I don't think its going anywhere, so I haven't secured it. All in all very happy with my purchase.

We've had the matching console table for over a year now (which we love) and it still looks brand new. I was able to assemble and move the bookcases by myself though the box they came in required two people to move easily. It is a nice clean design and is well built and very sturdy.

I like to rearrange rooms seasonally so was a little diasappoibted but still - they are very stable and well constructed. Ordered 2 to flank tv in living room and house all the coffee table books.

Beautiful Piece
This arrives in less than a week. About 60 pounds. Very easy to put together! One shelf was missing 6 screws so we had to use our own to put together. Box was slighly damaged but packed very well so there was no reflection of that on the product. We also ordered the matching desk and they are perfect together. Goes great with the induatrial look!
