Porch & Den Liberty Red Spine Tower Shelf

This has the easy assemble angle-in shelves. I just looked at the other reviews for similar shelves here on overstock, and saw complaints that some require screwing in each shelf or anchoring it to the wall. Avoid those! Nope, this one is a direct design knockoff after the brand versions. It does include a bracket for no-tip stability if you are going to put it other than against a wall. I have both the West Elm and the DWR shelves and just tested all of them. This is no less stable and no more complicated to assemble, so go ahead and buy with confidence. Small deduction for color. Be warned, the red is milky, not a show-stopping bright gloss red as I'd expected. I bought this to go with the robust glossy red Ikea Kallax shelving units. True, you don't see much of the bookcase when it is filled.

This tower shelf was easy to assemble, and it is a good space saver. The red color is very cheery. The height is perfect for me (a shorter person), and I have it fully crammed with books. In order to maximize the number of books you get on it, you do have to be more strategic about how you place your books than you would with a traditional shelf, so if you have a specific cataloging and organizing method, this type of shelf might not be right for you. I like that it allows you to take advantage of smaller bits of unused space than traditional shelves, making it great for apartments.

This is my first spine bookcase and though the materials and construction quality may not be as good as and the base footprint is slightly larger than the more expensive DWRWest Elmetc. versions at less than half the price of those versions it is more than good enough and seems reasonably well-made and sturdy. I chose this version over the shorter 55 gray version also from the same brand due to its larger capacity of 65 and wider space between shelves. I would have preferred white but once covered with books the underlying color is not very visible and the occasional peek of red is nice. Assembly was very simple. The shelves are angled in and not individually screwed in which makes addition removal of shelves easy.

So far these have proven to be solid, sturdy shelves. I have them stuffed full of books and I've seen nothing to make me think they won't hold up. Obviously to be smart I put my 3-4" thick, heavier books on the bottom, but I have many shelves in the middle of the unit with multiple thick books. I would buy this item again.

The perfect way to store many books in a small space. Easy to set up. I choose the red color to accent my new club chairs. This is the 3rd time I’ve bought this type of shelf and receive many compliments.

This is a great bookshelf that takes up very little floor space and looks cool too! I like it a lot. It was very easy to assemble. The red adds a pop of color.

Beautiful- so easy to put together & comes with optional wall brackets! Highly recommend- beautiful enamel powder coated shelves at a great deal! You won’t regret these, packing was very secure.

Arrived yesterday packaged very well and assembled by myself (60+ yrs. ) within 10-15 minutes this morning. It is beautiful!!! The shelf is a bright shiny pop of red, made of sturdy and solid metal. Great product, highly recommend. ( I may get another in a different color for another room :)

Always wanted the real thing, but this copy of the original is beautiful and crazy functional. Such a clever design for storing books - takes up so much less space. I love the red color.

This bookshelf matches my living room perfectly. Glad I purchased this instead of a broader one. Fits plenty of books. Thinking about purchasing another to match

Only buy if you need a pop of color in the distance...up close it is only painted cheap metal and it shows. If it were 1/4 the price it would make sense. I feel it is overpriced.

Easy to assemble and great color.

Works great in the corner and holds a lot of books. Easy to assemble! Not a traditional book shelf so it adds a modern touch and different, gets a lot of compliments.

Love this cute bookshelf! Arrived promptly within two days and was very easy to assemble. I assembled it myself in about 30 minutes. I was confused about something minor when assembling it, but I came to look at the pictures on the site and my question was answered. I filled it with books right away and it fit about 50-60 books!
