Porch & Den Peterson 5-shelf Ladder Bookcase

This is a good decorative shelf for the price. They are made of solid wood. You have to be aware that the shelves are made of thin wood. I highly recommend that you assemble this shelf with another person making sure that shelves are aligned. If they are not, they may crack. Also be aware that this shelf consists of two parts connected with a thin metal plate in the middle. The holes in the upper and bottom parts in the product I received were not aligned with the holes in the metal piece. You may need to re-drill holes. With the weight of the upper part, the shelf does not seem to wobble too much. But some people may find this shelf to be too wobbly. The brown color is darker than pictured, but it is a nice walnut color. The finish is smooth.

I did a lot of online shopping before purchasing this ladder. I wanted to display my quilts, and it is just perfect for that. The ladder was extremely easy to put together. Took about 15 minutes tops. The dark color coordinates very well with my entertainment center. I am extremely happy with this purchase and would recommend anyone looking for a ladder, to consider purchasing this one. The price was great, too!!

Ordered two of these in the espresso finish. They arrived right on time and were relatively easy to put together and install. Very sturdy and beautiful, I’m using it as a plant stand/bookcase. My only complaint is that there were some minor imperfections on one of the two bookcases. Small dings, and problems with the stain that was used. Also missing the gloss finish on the outside supports on one side of it, but nothing I can’t live with. I figured no one would really notice it but me, so I’m keeping both of them. They look absolutely fabulous now that I’ve staged them with my plants, pictures, and books!

We used this shelf in our lobby of our wellness center and we love it! It was easy to assemble and the perfect size for the amount of retail we carry. It's classic style is very appealing.

Got two to flank fireplace while keeping room “open”. Solid shelves, easy assembly (did it myself in 15 minutes each). With 2 young kids I worry about quality of large shelves. I feel comfortable with the sturdiness of these shelves. And the price was right! Well boxed; no damage. Shelves are spaced well. Appreciate that it comes with wall anchors-especially with 2 kids who climb. Very pleased with purchase.

Ladder arrived quickly. Very easy to put together, nicely made. Looks great in my sons room for books, lego display, etc... would highly recommend this shelf ladder.

I bought this for my son’s bathroom as it is a light blue room. It helps him to organize a lot of his towels and toiletries. It is definitely not flimsy or cheap. Very good purchase.

Love this! Bought it to replace one that we sold with our old home, the buyer liked it so much! Seems like the newer one was a bit higher quality and wood was prettier!

Easy to put together, takes a while to fill out the shelf. wood is solid, not very thick but good enough hold all our stuff, got what you pay for.

It was more sturdy and heavier than I was expecting.
