"Is this a vibrant red? "
I think that this is my fifth Safavieh Courtyard rug. They're all fantastic. Good quality, easy to clean, dries quickly. This one is on our deck and it grabs all of the mud from dog paws and kid boots and I hose it off. LOVE!

Better than I expected
I was nervous that because it's technically an outdoor rug, it would be rough or somehow "plastic" feeling. The grey pattern is woven like a very tight jute or a smooth natural fiber and the bone is raised ever so slightly with the weave/texture of a very low pile loop carpet. It feels much less like an outdoor rug than I expected. It is not soft per say but close to the feeling of a flat woven throw rug, I think that it would be more comfortable with a rug pad but it isn't unbearable with out one. Can't complain about the quality, had a bad spill in less than 24 hours and it cleaned right up. I was expecting "bone" to mean cream and the true color is a light tan, imagine a pair of khaki pants. The difference is minimal though, I wasn't disappointed at all just noticed a slight discrepancy. The grey is a true grey though, no blue undertones. It took it about a day to completely flatten out and the new rug smell to dissipate. All in all a great purchase on an 8x11, which on a budget can end up being a case of 'you get what you pay for'. This one looks and feels a lot more expensive than it was.

High Quality, Great Value
I would highly recommend that if you are looking to purchase this rug, you read the other reviews for it in this size and in the other sizes. The colors are NOT as depicted and you WILL be disappointed unless you do a bit of research. I also recommend looking at other outdoor rugs in blue from the same brand - some of these photos currently on Overstock have been edited to show the correct coloring. The color itself is as another reviewer described as a "denim". It is a darker blue with a bit of a texture to it, hence the "denim" description. The "bone" is also not as light as the photo depicts and is closer to a light tan or beige or sand. Delivery was extremely fast - I received my rug within 3 Business Days of ordering it. It was packaged really well in 2 layers of plastic and despite its huge size, it was relatively light to carry. The pattern is fabulous and this rug looks great indoors - which is why I bought it, but would also look great outdoors as well. It is modern and fun and would look good with contemporary, traditional or transitional decor styles. I highly recommend this high quality rug w/ a thick rug pad - so long as you know what the actual colors are!!

We are in the process of repainting our deck/pergola, but we were expecting house guests before we could get it finished so I needed to get a rug to make the space look nicer and less like a construction zone. I think this rug did the trick. We plan on continuing to use it after the work is done, it really helps continue our "living" space out onto the deck. The material it's made out of is actually quite soft, not rough at all, which was a nice surprise. We've had several days of rain with this rug out and it doesn't hold too much water and dries quite quickly. I've attached a photo of the rug with a piece of white paper on it to more accurate show its color. The only issue I had was the way the rug was packaged. It only had a thin layer of plastic protection and was rolled with the good side facing out and there were some spots where the plastic was ripped in shipping so some of the edges have dark stains on them that I can't remove. It's an outdoor rug and I don't expect it to stay perfect, but it's still disappointing when you order something new and it doesn't arrive in mint condition. It seems to be pretty durable - my cats mistook it for a scratching post twice while it was rolled up in our living room and I don't see any visible damage from their claws. Other than the packaging issue, I am pleased with this rug and would recommend it.

POOR QUALITY - DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY THIS RUG. I purchased this rug a year ago and also bought a matching one that was smaller with inverse colors at the same time. Both rugs have been outside, right next to each other and subject to the same elements and usage (little-to-none). But for some odd reason, this rug has been completely destroyed. The threads are pulling apart and the blue color comes off in piles of blue dust particles. Both rugs are from Safavieh but this is the only one that has fallen apart. Overstock won't refund bc there's no warranty and I didn't return this item within 30 days (which is ridiculous since I've shared clear images on how this one fell apart but the other one didn't).

Fantastic Rug For the Right Environment
I was thrilled when I received my rug(s). I previously purchased two runners and now I am ordering the 9x12. But you have to know that the rugs on this site labeled indoor/outdoor are basically mats. They are thin like a sea grass or sisal rug. If you've purchased sea grass or sisal in the past or if you like the look but want more options, this category of rugs are a perfect alternative. They provide bold prints that can anchor a space nicely for a fraction of the price of a wool area rug, however I totally understand someone purchasing a rug like this for the first time and expecting a typical thicker pile area rug would be very disappointed. In my home, I have used the rugs both on hardwoods and on carpet and they need a rug mat or floor tape or prevent slippage, but my dogs and children have done a lot to them and they can withstand anything. They simply don't stain and they can be dragged outside and sprayed down with a hose (which I've never had to do).
