"Can this rug be rained on? I'd be putting patio furniture on it and it would be inevitable that it would get wet."
We use this rug inside, in front of our driveway side door. It really doesn't show the dirt and is thin enough so that the door opens over it. We've had it for almost four years with daily traffic and it has held up really well!

Beautiful Rug
I would post a pic if I could. I am using it in my kitchen. It is a great indoor rug, and the water resistant material works well for the kitchen. The pattern is beautiful w/ my Moroccan style decor, and lovely neutral tones. The price is fair for the size rug. You'll need backing to resist slipping/sliding, and I recommend using construction caulk and allow to fully dry (of course). My one complaint is that it came snagged, and in looking at it, it has a loose loop and looks more likely to snag than any rug I own, but time will tell. The fabric looks durable, so I could be wrong about that. It is low-pile, at least, so easy to vacuum, and you can take it outside & wash it w/ the garden hose. Very practical. I plan to purchase a second for my entry atrium. Thanks again, Overstock.

I would buy again in a heartbeat!
I have a problem with rugs. I love them a little too much. This is the 8th rug I've bought in two years and I wish I would've tried this kind of rug first. We have two larger dogs, a two year old and a newborn so style is usually trumped by durability. Not the case with this rug! We have it under the dining room table and it's amazing. The color is beautiful (dry slate with cream/ivory) and the pattern is what I'd hoped for. My husband actually LIKES this rug! It's soft too! The first night we had it, we were trying to let the wrinkles flatten before we put the table back so we played a board game on the floor. My husband said he expected it to be scratchy and was relieved it was soft. I gave 4 stars for the quality because I can see the little nub of where the gray fibers ended and a new one started. It's not a big deal to me but I know some people might be bothered by it.

fades after 2 weeks
Loved the product, but it's now about 5 shades lighter so it no longer matches the pillows I bought to go with it. I figured it would fade over time, but just not so fast.

I really like the weight and texture of this 16' runner for my hallway. I had the 14' black color and just bought the red color. They look really nice and are made to withstand a lot of traffic.

Q:
"I bought this carpet for inside the front door on top of carpet and having a hard time keeping it flat. love the way it looks but its driving me crazy fixing it all the time. I even tried carpet tape. Please help!"
-
A:
Packing and shipping may cause temporary creases in area rugs. To remove them back-roll/reverse roll your rug and allow time for the creases to relax. Please note that all rugs 9' x 12' and larger must meet the carrier's size limits, as it is considered oversized for our carrier's specifications it must be folded for shipping.
-
A:
Lightly spray the under side of the rug with WATER about a foot and a half all around the rug's edges. Roll the rug TIGHTLY leaving the TOP side of the rug exposed. Allow the the entire rug to be rolled TIGHTLY for a couple.days. Make sure you DO NOT saturate the rug. Once the rug has dried (this may take a couple days), unroll the rug and place it where you want it. To make sure the rug doesn't "sour;" allow it to dry in a well-ventilated area. You may want to place a fan

Q:
"machine washable?"
-
A:
Outdoor rugs can be cleaned with a bit more vigor, such as rinsing a rug with a garden hose to remove excessive grime. Dry outdoor rugs over a railing in the sunlight on both sides instead of placing it on a wooden deck or stone patio, which can encourage the growth of moss or mold on a damp rug.
-
-
Q:
"Is this machine washable? Can I put in dryer? "
-
A:
We advise not to throw our rugs into a machine washer and recommend all Safavieh rugs be professionally cleaned. Machine washing can lead to damages in the knots and fabric.

Q:
"I bought two and one is not laying flat. I tried rolling it the opposite way to help but it didn't work. How do I get this carpet runner to lay flat?"
-
A:
If the problem persists after rolling it the opposite way and allowing it to rest that way for a while, please contact customer service.

Q:
"Does it come in the 8 foot in navy"

Q:
"How long does this rug keep its color in full sun?"
-
A:
Disappointed in the color. Loved it when we first received it and it was a vibrant orange color...it gets sun most of the day. I then ordered the runner in the same color and it is on the deck also, but is in a more shaded area. A few weeks later I noticed the large rug was very faded while the runner was still the vibrant orange color that I liked. The rugs are only a few feet apart and they look like completely different colors now!
