I am so disappointed with this rug and will be sending it back once I can swallow the $* return shipment fee. The backdrop of purple is created by alternating purple and royal blue yarn. It is neither subtle or attractive. This rug has received a lot of positive reviews, but honestly, I have really enjoyed the quality and colors of other Safavieh rugs. This one is good quality too but the color technique is terrible. Overstock really needs to include a close up image so that folks know what to expect. It is so disappointing to buy something so large and then to coordinate return shipping and wasting so much money on shipping fees.

Great rug!
A beautiful rug with an unusual pattern, I love it! This rug was even better than I had anticipated, very nice plush wool pile, feels good to walk on. The color in the online image is very close to the actual color, which is great. I am amazed at the price for such a nice quality wool rug. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

After looking for months for the perfect rug, this has met our expectations. It does have pink flecks woven in to the amethyst color, and that might surprise some; the issue with ordering rugs online. However, it lends to the beauty of the rug, and goes perfectly with our light bamboo floors and charcoal gray sectional, offering a lovely balance to the room. There is something special about circular rugs, especially when paired with a square room and edged sectional. It is shedding quite a bit but I've found all our wool rugs have done this, yet last for many years (and the cats do not help!) Highly recommend.

The photo does not show you how grainy the pattern is. It is dappled with white throughout the blue ikat and looks more like a denim color than a nice dark blue. I sent it back.

Great neutral rug that has held up well in a high traffic mud room. The pattern hides dirt well, even with the off-white. I would buy this again!
