I live in a small one bedroom retirement apartment with no dining area. The cottage dining set is perfect in my living area with desk, sofa, and TV. I put it together easily, even with my knee and hand issues. Thank you for stocking this item, selling it reasonably, shipping swiftly, and making my home complete. Absolutely kudos and a 10!!!!!!

Cute and functional table set
I have a small kitchen with only a little nook to fit an eating area. This is a classy looking set for that small space. I have it so the leaf is next to the wall. It was relatively easy to assemble even for a klutz like me. The table is solid and so are the chairs. I may decide to get cushions for the chairs just for a splash of color but the chairs are quite comfortable as they are.

Just a step above Ikea
Unfortunately this was my least favorite furniture purchase from Overstock. I got it because it's difficult to find a small extendable table that's sturdy and function, and it needed to fit in the eating area of my kitchen. It looks cute, but I was expecting the hard rubber wood material--instead it's melamine Ikea-ish stuff. If I had to do it over, I'd buy only the table and get different chairs. The chairs will only be as sturdy as the strength of the person assembling them due to the screw-in-place assembly of these things. I'm petite so the chairs I put together are a little creaky. Overall, it's only an average value for an average dining set, but the extendable table seems sturdy in construction. Pass on the chairs, you can find better.

the country cottage dining set was just perfect for me as I live in a small cottage like home. My kitchen is small and needed this exact set to make it work for me. It was delivered exactly when promised and was an easy put together. I finished it in about an hour and was enjoying a cup of coffee at my new dining set right after. Good looking and sturdy, I am very pleased.

I like the table and chairs very much. They fit perfectly in my kitchen against the wall. They look really great in the area. My kitchen is black, white and silver. I knew that the black table and chairs would top it off on the looks of the kitchen. It is just what it needed for the finish touch. I highly recommend this Country Cottage table set. Also the quality of the 3 piece set is really good.

Nice and functional
The set was purchased for my elderly mom as a gift for her small apt. The package arrived and we got two tables but no chairs. When I called customer service they seemed to think it was impossible that would happen and I had to wait a couple of days to find out If they would be able to only ship two chairs. The chairs arrived about 10 days later and the screws and pieces sort of don't exactly fit or wot but we got it together. The se looks nice. The leaf it's not as straight or sturdy when it's extended because the two slats are not long enough and very secure. Overall the set is nice for a small place in a senior apt. Just wish a little more thought had gone into the construction.

Very nice for the price
I have a small home without a dining area. I needed a table that would fit in a medium size kitchen. I went back and forth on tables, but went with this one. I'm happy with it! its not custom made but its sturdy, packaged nice so there was no scratches or broken parts. I would recommend this item!!!

I've only put the table together thus far and it seems pretty sturdy. The edge of the leaf arrived damaged but luckily it's on the underside so you really can't tell.
