Simple Living Foster Desk with Hutch

The Simple Living Foster Desk with Hutch is fantastic. Top quality, easy to assemble, all parts are well organized and in excellent condition. The desk top arrived completely assembled (drawer was already installed - no drawer gliders to deal with). Directions are clean and concise, easy to follow. Just had to attached the legs to the desk top, assemble the hutch and attach it to the desk. They even give you a bag labelled "extra parts" - nobody does that anymore! There is a small opening in the bottom center of the hutch for cords. I highly recommend this desk with hutch. It's roomy, classic design fits in with many décor styles. It's not bulky and is attractive. The hutch is about 2' high (I have a radio on it, some pens and pencils and a large file organizer - plenty of room for whatever you want to place on it and it's a nice depth). Would also be a great place to display photos. Thanks, Overstock. I am extremely pleased with this purchase.

I bought this desk for my daughter's room, and both her and I absolutely love it! I searched through tons of desks on multiple websites prior to this purchase. I chose this one because it fit the style my daughter wanted, it appeared to be a good size, and the price was much lower than the other desks on our "top 5" list. I am glad I went with this one. It looks great in her room. I love the size: big enough to fit her laptop, desklamp, writing/art supplies, books, and random odds and ends, without being overbearing. The shelf on top is great. My daughter uses this desk every day. It appears to be strong and well made, and it wasn't at all diffcult to put together. I was happy to find that the drawer was already assembled and the drawer slides were already drilled into the desk. I was able to assemble it myself fairly quickly. Again. I am very happy with my purchase, and I have no complaints at all. I would highly recommend this desk!

I was really disappointed in this desk. The top hutch part was wrongly drilled so it was unable to be put together or attached to the desk. The drawer in the desk is off and doesn't close all the way. When I contacted customer service about a new hutch, (over 2 weeks ago) they said they would send me a new hutch to put on the desk. No word back from them and no hutch. I wouldn't mind just the desk part except without the hutch, there is a raw edge where it's supposed to go and looks like *** .

I really like this desk. It looks great in my space and the Overstock picture is an accurate representation. It was fairly easy to put together and certainly one person can do it. I wish the instructions had given a bit more detail. There were several instances where I had to decipher what the next step was solely from using the picture b/c the descriptions were entirely unhelpful. The reason I'm giving this desk 2 stars is because the off-gassing is HORRIBLE. The noxious fumes are incredibly strong. I live in a 2600 square foot home and I can smell the offensive aroma in every room. The smell hits you in the face as soon as you walk in the door. I typically don't classify myself as someone who is sensitive to smells but this is awful. If you are sensitive to odors at all, keep shopping. I would not order this desk again for this reason and I will pause before ordering again from this company. I hate to say that b/c I really like this desk. I hope it stops stinking soon.

Good desk for my 8-year old daughter. Straightforward to put together... took about 30 minutes and is holding up well. I’ve put together a lot of *** furniture, so I’m used to fairly ambiguous instructions. These were relatively easy to follow. Word to the wise, if you have an electric screwdriver, use it.

Very easy to install. I’m usually not good at installing things but this desk was very simple to put together. I followed all the directions and was able to get it up and going within 30 mins all by myself. It’s a very simple, cute, and practical desk. Only downside is that there is only one drawer so not a lot of storage space if that’s something that you’re looking for. Additionally, I would like to note that my desk came with a chip (paint peeled) on the right top corner. It’s no big deal, probably chipped during shipping, but I do wish that during shipping, my desk was handled more carefully. The box it came in was a bit torn and rattled. Overall, the desk is great though!

I made this table into a crafting station for my home office and I absolutely love it! It's really good quality and it was very easy to put together. I loved that it came with a hutch that I got to decorate without taking away from the actual working space of the desk! It also comes with a small drawer which was perfect to store all my pens/brushes/washi tapes, etc.! I would highly recommend this desk for your home!

Perfect size for my guest room and SO easy to put together! The material seems sturdy. The hardware on the drawer is nice. The hutch is perfect size for photo decorations or office supplies.

This desk is a steal! I bought it for my daughter's bedroom. Arrived in perfect condition. It's just a tad wobbly until you put books, etc on it, but the desk feels solid and looks so good in person! Looks much nicer in person. For the price, it's perfect! Just the right size with plenty of room for her laptop along with other papers, a drink, her phone, all to fit comfortably. We love it! The only improvement I'd ask for is for the drawer to slide out further. It doesn't come out far enough to make it easy to grab some from the back half of the drawer. Very minor.

Bought this for our 6 year old daughter who is taller than most and needed a full sized desk if we wanted it to last her a while. It was easy to put together and looks great. Most importantly, our daughter loves it.

I bought this for my granddaughter and she loves it! I loved the look for the price. It came packed really well and I was happy that the main part of the desk and drawer were already assembled. All we had to do was put the legs on, put the hutch together and put the backboard on. Took about an hour with my husband and I to put together.

I bought this for my daughter more than a year ago and it's holding up well. It's a great first desk. It assembled easily (I did it myself). It's laminate but if your bedroom has all white furniture, as my daughter's room does, it does blend in with a mix of higher-end brand white furniture.

Received this in a box inside of another box which included the label of someone else’s order that was returned. I can see why, as this desk was badly damaged. Hard for me to believe what happened to the corner of this desk for it to be so warped.

Easy to assemble (less than 10 min) and seems very sturdy. Holes all drilled in correct place and hardware was beefy unlike others that include tiny, fragile screws. Looks like a much more expensive piece.

My husband put it together rather quickly. Simple to do and it looks very beautiful. The only issue is that is narrow enough that a laser printer will not fit (inert, printer is on floor) but it doesn’t bother me... still earned a 5 star!

I purchased this desk for my preteen son so that he could do his artwork and homework. It was relatively easy to put together single handedly. It has a nice glossy white finish. I like the fact that the table top is large enough that he can spread out papers, but the desk itseld is not large that it takes up a lot of room in his small bedroom. I wish they sold the desk with a chair.

Easy to put together and looks good. It feels like a solid piece for the price. The color is bright white and it was well packed from Overstock.
