Strick & Bolton Tobacco 55-inch Tessuto Buffet

Not bad - not great - just ok. LONG assembly time - 3.5 hours and I am good at building things. It should be cheaper for the quality. First off it goes together with those cam locks. I think those things are pretty terrible and don't really get a nice tight fit in all the joints. I live in the tropics so those are going to rust out for sure. If I can get three years out if this I will be happy. It cost an extra $$ for freight forwarding to the VI. Lots of parts - comes in three boxes. Assembly isn't hard at all but really time consuming. The instructions are clear BUT they failed to mention on one step a small detail. That detail resulted in me having to disassemble the top and the side to rotate the two pieces between the drawers. Unfortunately when you disassemble - it never fits just right. So those pieces are a little wobbly - luckily it doesn't effect the drawers. The color is really close to the photos - maybe a tad darker. Its not solid pieces of wood - its like 3 inch wide pieces glue together. You can see the joints that looks like teeth. I actually kind of like that - looks more MCM. My right door want sit correct - a little off and can't seem to get it perfectly straight. Minor. I think this needs to be in the $$$ range. It wont be an heirloom piece but its good looking and pretty sturdy - love the legs of course. I guess compared with other MCM pieces its a good value. I am using mine as a TV stand. I chose this over the TV stand as we have a 32" TV and it would have been too low with the Tessuto tv stand. Its really about 3 inches too tall to be the right height for a TV stand but I like it bette than looking towards the floor. Its a decent buy.

After the Tessuto Tobacco 70-inch entertainment center was assembled I decided to get the Tessuto Buffet. Both pieces reflect a mid-century style that I love. Instructions were easy enough. All the parts and hardware fit just right. I am pleased with both the Tessuto Entertainment Center and the Tessuto Buffet. They compliment the rooms uniquely.

Ok it will take some time and effort to assemble but well worth it. Take your time and read the instructions carefully. It wouldn't hurt to have some help as well. The wood is solid with a beautiful finish.

This is a nice piece of furniture. I'm using it in a guest room for office supplies. The drawers are not very deep. The color is like a dark walnut. I had to contact Customer Service twice because the carrier was damaging the cartons (and parts) in transit. The directions are clear and easy to follow. I was able to assemble it myself. The doors are a challenge to align but with patience it is possible with the adjustable hinges. However, the holes on the left support side piece are pre-drilled an 1/8 of inch deeper than the support side attached to the right door. When viewing the piece from the side it is clear that one door is closer to the front trim than the left door. Because I ending up receiving these parts three times (because of the damage) they were all drilled this way so I assume it's not a manufacturing defect but a design flaw. The style is great and the shelves are deep and can hold a lot. Aesthetically this piece is a 5, because of the drawer depth the functionality is a 3.

A beautiful, high quality piece that looks very high end. Seems like it will be durable as well.

We purchased this buffet to go with the FOA Morottia dinning set we had ordered. It matches beautifully; it was easy to assemble. This piece is very spacious, beautifully finished, the doors match, and the drawers do not rattle. I highly recommend this piece especially if you have a smaller room...very pleased!!

This piece is just beautiful. Very sturdy and looks high end. Assembly was exhausting. If I ever see another "Screw - Type A" again it will be too soon. As other reviewers mentioned the assembly is very time consuming (took about 3 1/2 hours) and there were a few packages of hardware that were miss labeled and at least two steps in the instructions that were not accurate. If you look at the pictures and compare to the real part you can figure it out. All that being said, having SO many screws makes for a very sturdy and well made piece furniture. I highly recommend this item. Very happy. Only gave four stars due to the mistakes in instructions and labeling of parts.

I was impressed how well this item was packaged for shipping. It was downhill from there. I got to step 7 of 16 (directions are 9 pgs) and one of the legs was missing an insert. I contacted Overstock and was told they would get back to me in 2 days. That was 7 days ago. In the meantime I started working on step 9 and found there were no designated screw holes for the hinges. During step 10 one of the dowels broke. I've been to 3 hardware stores and no one carries them in metric sizes. So for the last 6 days it's been piled up in the floor. THERE IS NO REPACKING THIS MANY PARTS BACK INTO 3 BOXES FOR RETURN, not to mention the 3-4 hrs I've put into it and that's not including running around trying to find replacement pieces and hardware. Extremely disappointed and frustrated that now I'm stuck with it and I'm out that much money. What am I supposed to do with it now?!

I loved this buffet table. It came almost completely assembles. We just had to put the legs on! It matched and works very well with the Carson Carrington "TESSUTO" Tobacco finish pieces. I totally love the collection. There was absolutely no damage whatsoever, even though the corner of the box was crushed. Everything is very well packed with REAL STYRO-FOAM Not the *** that just crumbles apart the second you touch it while flying everywhere. It is a beautiful piece of furniture. I do wish the legs were a little longer{ on all the other pieces} like they are with the Carson Carrington "Tessuto 4 drawer sofa table" It is a great value and you can beat the price. I am actually using this piece for a dresser. I purchased a reclaimed rectangular wood mirror from. I hung it and let it drop down almost in a diamond shape I am decorating my room in a mid century modern décor with a twist.{ rustic cabin wildlife, deer antler chandelier etc. it looks really good{ in my opinion and that's all that matters and really counts at the end of the day, right lol I will take some photos and upload soon, If the site allows me to go back and do that, once I have everything where I want it.

I'm just crazy for this and honestly, I enjoyed putting it together. I'm a 64 yr. old woman and I only needed help in lifting it onto the legs when it was almost complete. The directions were simple and direct, easy...and all the screws, bolts, magnets were easily identified and noted on their bags. Don't be nervous about putting this together...just couldn't be easier.

The quality of the veneer on this is horrible! finger joints on the top surface, splotchy stain, repairs made to the veneer in the factory on the legs and on the top, then re-stained darker. doors and drawers have joined wood strips some with a matte finish, some with a slight gloss......This factory is having some serious quality control issues. I should have inspected each piece thoroughly before assembly. It is too much work to dis-assemble and try to repack it as a return. Off to craigslist.

The rich color makes this piece look luxurious. The design in the front makes it one of a kind. It really is a great piece for the price. It is now the focal point in my dining area. Soo beautiful and easy to assemble. A +++

Comes in three boxes fairly easy to put together look beautiful when all is said and done. The color is alittle darker than the picture more of s brown

I absolutely LOVE this piece! Heavy solid wood pieces and the color is rich and beautiful. Listen when the reviews say 3 hours to assemble. I bought 2 and it took me 2 days at almost 5 1/2 hours total. The drawers slide smoothly and the cabinets hinges align the doors perfectly. I am incredibly happy with the price for the value. Each unit came in 3 boxes (6 total for me).

Nice piece we use in the bedroom to hold the tv.

We love this piece. It feels very high quality. Some people complained of assembly but really it is mail order furniture, we expect that. We love the quality and finish of this item. Highly recommended.

Absolutely love, love, love this piece! It is so simple yet elegant. It was really easy to put together. I did use an electric drill on certain parts of the assembly but, still would have been easy with out it.

This thing is beautiful! Solid wood, looks like a classic midcentury modern heirloom. I don't know how they make it for the price. LOVE. Took 3+ hours to install but no mistakes. Get a buddy to help assemble!
