These truly unique handcrafted olive wood chess board has beautifulchess pieces perfect for any chess game. This olive wood chess setis made from solid durable and dense olive wood. Beautiful andunique grains can be found in each wooden chess board. All woodenchess sets come from wood that has been aged and treated with oliveoil. This type of chess board set is never made using bleach, dyesor chemicals. Story Behind the Art:
The country of Tunisia is known for its abundance ofbeautiful olive trees. Yearly the older olive trees are harvestedthe wood is cut and dried. The wood is then sent to the workshopwhere our talented artisans craft the wood into beautiful pieces ofart. The process for treating olivewood is long and arduous but itis completely natural. No chemicals are added to the wood at all.

The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations incolor, size and design. If buying two of the same item, slightdifferences should be expected. Note: Color discrepancies may occurbetween this product and your computer screen.

It looks neat in pictures but arrived broken like other reviews stated. That says quality is subpar. I’ve since glued it and fixed what needed to be fixed, but even the squares are misaligned. I like the drawers underneath, goes well with a rustic design. Just disappointed in quality.

Although it is a stunning chess board, it wasn't built very well. I had to glue 1 leg on when it arrived. Then had to remove and glue a 2nd leg back on because it was crooked. I had to do the same with both drawers. I would have returned it, but it really is beautiful. All said and done, our family enjoys it and it is certainly a statement piece

I've a several complements on thus chess board. However, it looks better than it plays. The drawers don't close flat and barely hold the pieces. Nevertheless, I still love and display it.
