Story Behind the Art:
The country of Tunisia is known for its abundance of beautiful olive trees. Yearly the older olive trees are harvested the wood is cut and dried. The wood is then sent to the workshop where our talented artisans craft the wood into beautiful pieces of art. The process for treating olivewood is long and arduous but it is completely natural. No chemicals are added to the wood at all.

Chess board
Very cheaply made, totally purchased it for a novelty piece just to sit on a table. The outside of the board was pieced together with different pieces of wood, not one solid piece. The board was ok, except the way it was laid out in reference to the outer portion, it looked crooked. The playing pieces were cheap and very rough feeling. I would've just replaced the playing pieces if the board was nice. I returned the product.

This is a beautiful piece but very difficult to use as a chess set. Perfect if you just want to use to for decor but hard to move pieces without hitting other pieces.
